2. About Converta
2.1 Converta operates a platform that connects individuals seeking services ("Customers", "you") with independent third-party professionals who provide those services ("Professionals").
2.2 Converta is a facilitator of introductions only. We are not a party to, and take no responsibility for, any service, advice, transaction or contract between you and a Professional. Any services you receive are provided by the Professional, not by Converta. The Service is provided to Customers at no charge. A separate privacy policy and terms govern each Professional's use of the platform.

3.2 You are not required to provide all requested information. However, if you choose not to, we may be unable to match you with a suitable Professional or deliver the full benefit of the Service.
3.3 Verification. We verify the phone number you provide using an SMS one-time passcode (OTP). By submitting your enquiry, you consent to receiving a verification message and other service-related SMS communications relating to your enquiry.

(e) Cookies and similar technologies: we and our third-party providers use cookies, pixels and similar tracking technologies to collect usage data, deliver targeted advertising, and analyse our marketing performance. See clause 10.
3.5 Incomplete submissions. If you begin but do not complete our enquiry form, we may retain the information entered. This may be used for the purposes described in this Policy, including to contact you about your enquiry.
4. How We Use Your Information
4.1 Facilitating introductions: to assess your requirements and connect you with one or more Professionals relevant to your needs. Each enquiry may be shared with a limited number of Professionals, or with a single Professional on an exclusive basis.
4.2 Connecting you with related services: we may share your enquiry with Professionals or providers of other services relevant to your needs.
4.3 Ongoing matching: your enquiry may continue to be made available to Professionals for a period after submission, until it is fulfilled, withdrawn or expires.

This includes introductions and follow-up messages sent through the Service on behalf of Professionals who have received your enquiry.
4.5 Marketing: to send you marketing communications by email, SMS or other electronic means about Converta's services and related offerings. You may opt out at any time (see clause 7).

4.8 Automated processing and AI: we may use automated and AI-assisted processing of your enquiry information for the purposes described in this Policy, including assessing enquiries, connecting you with Professionals, preventing fraud and improving the Service. Significant decisions are subject to human review on request.
4.9 Internal reporting: to produce internal reports and market research. De-identified or aggregated data may be processed through third-party analytical tools, including artificial intelligence tools, for this purpose.
4.10 Legal and compliance: to comply with applicable laws, respond to legal process, enforce our policies, and protect the rights, property or safety of Converta, our users or third parties.
5. Disclosure of Your Information
5.1 Professionals. When you submit an enquiry, your personal information, including your name, email address, phone number and service requirements, may be shared with one or more Professionals relevant to your needs, or with a single Professional on an exclusive basis. By submitting your enquiry, you expressly consent to this disclosure.
5.2 Timing and scope of sharing. The number and types of Professionals who receive your enquiry, and the timing of sharing, are determined by Converta. Your enquiry may be shared at the time of submission or at a later time.
5.3 Independent handling by Professionals. Once your information has been provided to a Professional, that Professional acts as an independent party responsible for its own handling of your information under applicable privacy laws. Converta is not responsible for how a Professional collects, uses or discloses your information after receipt. You should review the Professional's own privacy practices.
5.4 Partner networks. We may share your enquiry with trusted partners who may be able to assist you. By submitting your enquiry, you consent to this disclosure.
5.5 Integrated service partners. We may partner with third-party companies to offer additional or integrated services connected to the Service. Where relevant to your enquiry, and with your consent where required, we may share limited information with those partners so they can provide their service. Some partners are separate controllers of your data, and their use of your information will be governed by their own privacy policies.
5.6 Third-party service providers. We engage third-party providers who may access your information only to the extent necessary to perform their functions and who are required to handle your data in accordance with applicable privacy laws. These may include form and funnel hosting, website hosting and infrastructure, SMS and email communication platforms, payment processing, analytics and product improvement tools, advertising platforms, scheduling tools, and data storage and workflow automation tools.
5.7 Aggregated or de-identified data. We may share aggregated, statistical or de-identified data that does not reasonably identify you with third parties for research, analysis, industry reporting or commercial purposes.
5.8 Business transfers. In connection with any merger, sale of company assets, financing, acquisition, or transition of service to another provider, or in the event of insolvency, bankruptcy or receivership, your personal information may be disclosed or transferred to a successor or acquirer and their advisors as part of that transaction. We will take reasonable steps to ensure any recipient handles your information consistently with this Policy.
5.9 Legal requirements. We may disclose your information where required or permitted by law, including to comply with a court order, subpoena, regulatory investigation or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Converta or others.
5.10 Referral arrangements. Converta may receive fees, commissions or other benefits from Professionals or partners in connection with introductions made through the Service. This does not change how your information is handled under this Policy, and the Service remains free to you.
6. Cross-Border Disclosure of Information
6.1 Some of our third-party providers are located outside Australia, including in the European Union and the United States. Your personal information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in those jurisdictions. Where we disclose information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles it consistently with the APPs. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.
7. Your Rights and Choices
7.1 Opt out of marketing. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by contacting us at ben@converta.com.au or by using the unsubscribe function in any message. Opting out will not affect transactional or service-related communications.

7.3 Deletion. You may request deletion of your personal information by contacting us at the details in clause 13. We will take reasonable steps to delete it from our active systems, subject to legal or operational requirements. Once your information has been disclosed to a Professional or partner, we are unable to delete or retrieve information held by that party. You will need to contact them directly.
7.4 Withdrawing an enquiry. You may ask us to stop sharing an active enquiry at any time by contacting us. This will not affect disclosures already made.
8. Data Retention
8.1 We retain your personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When retention is no longer reasonably necessary, we will delete or de-identify your information. Where deletion is not immediately possible (for example, because information is held in backup archives), we will securely store and isolate it from further active processing until deletion or de-identification is possible. Aggregated or de-identified data may be retained without limitation.
9. Site Visitors
9.1 If you visit our website without submitting an enquiry, we still collect automatically the device, network, usage, behavioural and cookie information described in clause 3.4. We use this information to operate and secure the Service, analyse usage, measure and optimise advertising, and improve the Service. This information may be linked to you if you later submit an enquiry.
10. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
10.1 We and our third-party providers use cookies, tracking pixels and similar technologies to enable functionality, analyse use, measure advertising effectiveness, deliver and optimise targeted advertising, and build audience profiles. Third-party technologies used may include Meta Pixel, Google Ads tags and Google Analytics. These third parties may collect information about your activity across other websites over time, subject to their own privacy policies. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.
